Is curbside pickup really free?
Yes! When you rent a unit online at StorageBlue and schedule a free curbside pickup, we come to you at no additional charge. Free curbside pickups must be within 75 miles of a StorageBlue-managed location, and your items must be packed, sealed, and staged at the curb or a clearly accessible location. StorageBlue is not a moving company and cannot pack your stuff, or enter your home or apartment.
How does free pickup work?
Choose a StorageBlue-managed location, select and rent your unit online, and pick “Yes, I'd like free curbside pickup” during checkout. We'll confirm your pickup details and available scheduling options.
Do I need to rent a unit before scheduling pickup?
Yes. Free curbside pickup is available as an optional part of the online rental process. There is no standalone pickup request form.
Is free pickup available anytime I need my stuff moved?
No. Free curbside pickup is a one-time service included with a new online rental, for your initial move-in only. It isn't a moving or delivery service you can book again later, and it doesn't cover retrieving items from your unit. If you need help moving items in or out after your initial move-in, we recommend our partner TaskRabbit Delivery.
What if I need pickup or delivery after my initial move-in?
StorageBlue has partnered with TaskRabbit Delivery — another way we make self-storage more convenient for our customers. The moving division of TaskRabbit lets tenants book help moving items into or out of their storage unit right from the TaskRabbit app or website. It's the easiest option once you've used your one-time free curbside pickup.
